Refunds, cancellations, and deposits
These rules apply to professional studies and site days, not to goods posted from a shop. Last updated 19 August 2026.
Eligibility
A refund may apply when a booked visit has not yet started, when we cancel for our own reasons, or when a scoped note is withdrawn before the first walk-through. Once observation has begun, fees reflect work already done rather than a product return.
Timeframe
Ask for a refund or a date change in writing to hello@utilityroutecore.click. We will confirm within five working days whether a full refund, a partial refund, or a credit toward a later fortnight applies.
Full refund
If we cancel a visit and cannot offer another date within a month that you can host, you receive a full refund of sums paid for that commission. If you cancel in writing more than ten working days before the first walk-through, the deposit is returned in full.
Partial refund
If you cancel between ten and three working days before the first walk-through, we retain half the deposit for reserved travel and drawing time, and return the rest. If observation days have started, we invoice for days already walked and for boards already in drawing, and refund any unused balance of the agreed fee.
Non-refundable items
Print costs for an exception board already sent to press are not refundable. A peak calendar that has been delivered as a finished sheet is not refundable, though we will correct a factual error we introduced from papers you supplied. Travel already purchased for Northern Ireland or island visits is deducted if you cancel after we have bought it with your written go-ahead.
Process
Write with the depot name, the booked dates, and whether you wish to cancel or move the fortnight. We reply with the calculation. Refunds go back by the same method you used to pay, within fourteen days of our agreement that a refund is due. Bank transfer is used if the original method cannot be reversed.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may ask once to move a walk-through to a later fortnight without extra fee if you give at least five working days’ notice and the new dates are in the following three months. A second move is treated as a cancellation of the original hold.
Deposits
The thirty percent deposit holds the first date. It is applied to the final invoice if the study completes. It is not a separate product.
No-shows
If we arrive for a booked induction and no host is present, that day is charged as an observation day and is not refunded. We will wait one hour at the gate unless you have already written that the yard is closed.
Work already started
Timed notes, aisle plans, and draft boards remain our working papers until the briefing. If you stop a three-week study after week one, you pay for the walk-through and any drawing already done, not the unused briefing.
Purchased materials
Paper, board stock, and print already ordered for your exception board are charged at cost if you cancel after we have placed the print order you approved.
Exceptions
If a site hazard we were not told about makes a visit unsafe, we will leave and will not charge that day. Statutory rights under United Kingdom consumer law remain if you booked as a private individual, which is uncommon for this work.
